In order to even show that Harry Potter was more than just a children's book, I had to be able research background history and similarities within the book and author. Once that was taken care of, I decided to research potential influences that could of affected the route in which J.K. Rowling in writing the series and developing characters. After being able to find the connections between the historical influences of National Socialism on this books series, I knew that this discovery could be used to teach children the importance of moral development. While many will wonder what is the point of even teaching moral development, I think it's important to show/teach kids a basis of morals that they will hold dear and uphold throughout most of their adoscelent life. It is those basis that will allows for more development to occur and change as they handle life problems growing up.

 

This blog not only provides my research on the paper to read and get one's own opinion on the subject at hand but also analysis of the characters and the series itself.
